Reservation and Cancellation Policy

1. Bookings

1.1 Customers can request bookings via 2060 The Newton Hostel website or by contacting our staff at the Hostel.

1.2 When requesting bookings, customers will be required to provide identification information including, but not limited to, their name, address, contact telephone number and email address.

1.3 No request for a booking should be deemed accepted unless and until 2060 The Newton Hostel confirms its acceptance and provides a booking reference, at which point the Contract will come into existence.

1.4 Subject to clause 4 (see below), 2060 The Newton Hostel will use its reasonable endeavours to accommodate any request from the Customer to change the Booking Details but any request to change the dates or length of stay or add products and/or services will be subject to availability and the Customer paying for such increased length of stay and/or products and/or services at 2060 The Newton Hostel standard rates.

1.5 When booking beds in a shared room, 2060 The Newton Hostel will attempt to put people in the same booking in the same room, however this cannot be guaranteed.

1.6 Online bookings will be accepted for up to 12 guests. In case your party consists of a larger group, please fill in the form for group bookings and we’ll send a quoatation within 48hrs.

1.7 Online Bookings for more than 7 nights will be charged in advance from the customer’s card and a non-refundable policy will apply. Failure to settle the balance within 48hrs will incur in the cancellation of the booking.

1.8 Online bookings exceding €300 will be charged in advance (only first night value) from the customer’s card. Failure to settle the first night’s value within 48hrs will incur in the automatic cancellation of the booking.

2. Fees and payment

2.1 The Charges will be as quoted by 2060 The Newton Hostel to the Customer upon the Customer’s request for a booking.

2.2 Unless otherwise agreed by 2060 The Newton Hostel, the Charges only cover the provision of accommodation at the Hostel and the Customer may incur additional charges.

2.3 Customers will be informed of the amount of the Additional Charges before they are incurred.

2.4 Bookings will be subject to the Customer: making payment of the Charges in full in advance or, at 2060 The Newton Hostel option, paying a booking fee and/or deposit; and providing valid Credit Card details via which payment of the Charges or the balance of the Charges (as the case may be) and any Additional Charges can be taken, at check-in at the hostel or at the time of booking.

2.5 If not prepaid in full at time of booking the balance of the Charges must be paid by the Customer immediately on checking in at the Hostel. Any Additional Charges must be paid either as they are incurred or, at 2060 The Newton Hostel option, upon the Customer checking out from the Hostel.
2.6 The following payment methods are accepted by 2060 The Newton Hostel: Credit Cards Visa, Mastercard on our website; also, Amex and debit cards at front desk.

3. Cancellations

3.1 Subject to clause 3.2, the Customer may cancel the Booking without charge provided written notice is given to info@2060hostels.com at least 48 hours prior to arrival date.

3.2 When the Customer has been offered and selected a discounted rate, provided the Customer has been informed and accepted such Condition (including, without limitation non-refundable rates, promotional rates), then the Booking may be cancelled however the Charges applicable to that Booking are payable in full, non-refundable and can’t be changed to other dates.

3.3 When the Customer fails to give sufficient notice of cancellation as per clause 3.1 or fails to arrive (no show) at the Hostel, the Booking will be deemed cancelled and the Customer must pay the Hostel an amount equivalent to the Charges applicable to the first night’s stay.

3.4 2060 The Newton Hostel may at any time cancel a Booking if the Hostel becomes unavailable due to circumstances outside 2060 The Newton Hostel’s control in which case 2060 The Newton Hostel will pay the Customer a full refund of any Charges and any booking fee paid, if that is the case.

3.5 2060 The Newton Hostel may at any time cancel the Booking if the payment details provided by the Customer are invalid and the Customer fails to provide alternative valid details.

4. Check in and check out

4.1 Check-in time at the Hostel is at 15:00 p.m. Check-in prior to 15:00 p.m. may be available subject to prior arrangement with the hostel and subject to the full range of services and facilities at the Hostel not being available until the standard check in time.

4.2 Check-out time at the Hostel is 11:30 a.m. Later check-out times may be possible by prior arrangement with an additional charge and subject to availability. (In the absence of such prior arrangement, failure to check-out by 11:30 a.m. may result in the Customer being charged for an additional night accommodation at the standard applicable rate.

4.3 We offer free luggage storage for early check ins and late check outs

5. Hostel Rules

5.1 Valid photo identification in the form of an ID is required at check-in, Passport will be required for non-EU residents.

5.2 Guests are required to act responsibly and reasonably at the Hostel and must not act in any way which may disturb other guests. Failure to adhere to this requirement may result in Guests being asked to leave the Hostel in which event all Charges and Additional Charges shall become immediately payable by the Guest.

5.3 Smoking, of any kind, is not permitted inside the Hostel.

5.4 The Guest will be responsible for any loss or damage caused at the Hostel by the Guest or visitors of the Guest. The Guest may be liable to 2060 The Newton Hostel for the reasonable cost of repairing, cleaning or replacing any property of 2060 The Newton Hostel which is damaged, soiled or lost by a Guest.

5.5 No animals are allowed in the Hostel with the exception of guide dogs. 2060 The Newton Hostel does not accept bookings made by those under the age of 18. minors cannot stay in any shared rooms; however they can stay in private rooms when accompanied by an adult over 18. If you’re under 18 and want to stay in a private room, you’ll need written consent from your parent or guardian. Failure to adhere to this rule will result in automatic Cancellation with no refund.

6. Foods and drinks

6.1 Unless otherwise agreed by 2060 The Newton Hostel, the Charges do not include any food or drinks.

6.2 Customers and their Guests may only consume drinks purchased from us in the hostel. No externally purchased beverages (alcoholic or non) may be consumed inside 2060 The Newton Hostel.

7. General

7.1 The terms and conditions will be applicable without prejudice to and limited to the consumer’s defense law.

7.2 2060 The Newton Hostel may transfer its rights and obligations under the Contract to another organisation but will always inform the Customer if this happens and this will not affect the Customer’s rights under the Contract.

7.3 2060 The Newton Hostel will not be liable in case of breach of its obligations with the client if such breach came due to fortuitous event or force majeure. If this is the case, the parties may cancel the contract without further ado.

7.4 2060 The Newton Hostel may, at any given time, change these Conditions without notice. However, the version of these Conditions in force at the time of the Booking will continue to apply to the Contract. Customers are advised to check 2060 The Newton Hostel’s website for the latest version of these Conditions before making a Booking.

7.5 2060 The Newton Hostel complies with its obligations under Spanish Organica Law 15/1999, December 13th. (“the Act”) regarding data protection. 2060 The Newton Hostel will process personal data (as defined in the Act) in relation to Customers and Guests solely for the purpose of performing its obligations and exercising its rights in connection with the Contract. 2060 The Newton Hostel will not provide any such personal data to any third parties apart from third parties who provide services to 2060 The Newton Hostel such as the provision of legal advice.

7.6 This Contract (including any non-contractual matters and obligations arising therefrom or associated therewith) shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, Spanish law.

7.7 No person who is not a party to the Contract will have any rights in connection with it.
